His passion for canoeing came from canoe camping on local North East classics as a kid and continued exploring different waterways as he grew older . His first boat years ago being a 14' foot fishing boat slowly evolving his arsenal into more whitewater specific... It's hard to say if you'll see him with a fishing pole in his hand or a T-Grip, but either way it will be followed by a smile.

Matt carries an ACA Level 4 Whitewater Solo/Tandem Canoeing Certification and more importantly is Gnarlz Outdoors Certified.
